The
together for good trilogy
“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
- Romans 8:28
Life often doesn’t go as planned. When hardships and tragedy strike, how do we make sense of the concept of a loving God? The Together For Good series not only digs deep into this challenging question but also explores themes such as mental health, grief, and prejudice, all within the context of deep spirituality. While this series is technically labeled Historical Fiction, perhaps a new term should be coined: Therapeutic Fiction. My hope is that this series will leave you not only entertained but also moved and transformed.

Between the shards
This book originally started as a series of letters, the first of which was left on my pillow one evening by my husband. The fun correspondence quickly turned into an epic storyline full of twists and turns, with deception, persecution, and restoration. Many months were spent weaving the story together from these letters until this novel was born.
Set in pre-Civil War Virginia, Between the Shards tells the glorious struggle of love amidst prejudice, faith through trials, and healing from trauma.

Through the bricks
Still being written, this book is a prequel to Between the Shards.
Delve into the story that led up to the first book, starting with Mona and Timothy’s difficult journey through infertility, Rusty’s battle with alcohol, the loss of Seth’s parents, and their adventures with Emmett in the Underground Railroad.

Above the roots
Still being written, this book is the sequel to Between the Shards.
See what happens next for our four friends, Henry, Ellie, Bethany, and Seth, as they face a Civil War that divides their country, threatens their lives, and tests their allegiance.
